Risk of Rain 2 characters are survivors with unique kits and alt skills. Official copy names Commando, Huntress, Engineer, MUL-T, Captain, plus later DLC.
Risk of Rain 2 does not call player characters heroes. Official copy calls them survivors. Marketing copy says you unlock ten playable survivors, each with a unique combat style and alternate skills. Named examples include Engineer, Huntress, Commando, plus Captain and MUL-T. "Ten" is the official sentence. Later DLC adds more, so the full roster size stays unverified.
Survivors the source names
- Base copy: Commando, Huntress, Engineer, Captain, MUL-T.
- Seekers of the Storm rework diary: Seeker, False Son, Chef. Each got kit changes and two unique alternate skills.
- Alloyed Collective: Operator, Drifter.
- A lore video discusses Artificer and admits she has one log, so origin claims are mostly speculation.
- Heretic / Kur-skan: more like a form assembled from Heresy items. The source does not list it as a normal menu survivor.
- Hallowed Concepts: two new survivors, names unannounced.
Void Fiend, Loader, and Railgunner appear in the raw keyword list. The source body does not describe them, so this page will not invent unlocks or skills.
Skills and skins
Official copy confirms alternate skills. The Seekers diary says those three DLC survivors each received two new alts, and names Seeker self-revive, Palm Blast, Reprieve, False Son Lunar Spikes / Lunar Stakes, and Chef Icebox / Oil Spill. Those names can live on the builds page. They are not a full-roster skill table.
Hallowed Concepts plans 17 new skins (one for each base, Survivors of the Void, and Seekers survivor). New survivors may also get a Mastery skin. Price and date are unannounced.
Search "characters" means survivors. Risk of Rain Returns is a different game and does not belong on this roster.
